Encourage Your Children to Draw instead of Online Gaming. Here's why?
In 2019, when pandemic immobilized our society and stayed home for more than two (2) years, our children lost their opportunities to develop their social skills. Parents were forced to work from home and tendencies for those who can't hire companions for their children resorted to leaving their children with toys, specifically digital games that takes the attention of our children and giving us space to work without interruptions.
That setup is not totally advantageous and poses risks to the physical and mental health of our children. As a result, many children got hooked with games and social media. Yes, it may develop their creative and artistic skills particularly those who love to post their dancing and singing prowess. However, too much digital exposure and gaming may result to game addiction. As we know, addiction is an acute case and risky for our children's health.
Allow me to share this video, which I have extracted from a webinar I gave for the parents of a Christian community. I hope it would be a useful information for us parents.
